It seems a fortuitous accident that two of Batemans Bay’s original buildings still exist but some fear they may soon be demolished. They’ve survived decades of development around them but now they are in the sights of developers aiming to build a car park. They’ve never been heritage listed but in a last minute attempt to save the buildings the Eurobodalla Shire Council’s heritage advisory committee has recommended they be listed as items of heritage significance.
